Wacom – market-leading manufacturer of pen tablets, interactive pen displays and digital interface solutions.

Campaign Goals

  • Launch Intuos4 professional range of pen tablets to the digital arts, design, Mac, photography, technology and online media.
  • Present the product’s outstanding design and features.
  • Strengthen relationships with targeted members of the press through face-to-face meetings (Wacom contact is based in Germany and rarely visits the UK)
  • Help to initiate sales of Intuos4 – generate new sales and encourage existing Wacom users to upgrade.

Results

  • Carried out an extensive four-day press tour taking in publishing houses in London, Bath, Bournemouth, Essex and Peterborough.
  • A total of 23 publications and three industry freelancers were briefed face-to-face.
  • Six key media attended an exclusive dinner with Wacom representatives.
  • Extremely positive coverage has appeared in targeted publications including Macformat, Macworld, Digital Arts, Register Hardware, British Journal of Photography and PC Pro with much more expected.
  • So far, Intuos4 has received two magazine awards – Macworld Editor’s Choice, Macformat Choice and Digital SLR Photo Highly Rated.

As usual, we were really pleased with the Intuos press tour arranged by Ranieri. We have a great relationship with our PR team in the UK and in turn, they have really strong relationships with our target press – this means we get to see exactly the right publications. The planning, preparation, organisation and venues were excellent – a very slick four days
